Lose Yourself in the Miami Area

When the need for a vacation has you literally squirming in your office chair, it might be time for a trip to the Miami Area. Not only does this destination offer the perks and energy of a big city, it mixes in a lot of fun on the beach as well.

Miami is a cultural melting pot, no stranger to controversy, and it’s a place where people like to party. It borders the Everglades and looks out over Biscayne Bay, and thanks to a delightfully tropical climate its winter temperatures never average below 65 degrees. Summers are steamier and hover in the upper 80’s, making the ocean side locale of the vacation condos and apartments all the more perfect.

Hanging out by the water to relax, cool off and watch the colorful array of people come and go is a fine way to spend a day or two (or three, or four…), as is shopping at one of the many malls or marketplaces. Some people come to Miami just to browse, bargain and splurge, so you might want to bring along an empty suitcase just in case you go a little wild.

Speaking of wild, not too far from the noisy downtown districts are untamed marshlands and places to book an eco-tour, go kayaking, snorkel and hike. Alligators and exotic birds can enthrall you during the day, and later on you can gawk at the club goers dancing the night away in South Beach; it seems that Cuban cuisine, mojitos, live music and a general open-mindedness for diverse lifestyles make Miami the ultimate place to forget about responsibility and feel the joy of release.
